Credentials - Available for a half day visit to your school, in your town. Offering school and group poetry workshops, I am an experienced primary
teacher with BA English (hons) degree from the University of London and PGCE from Brunel University. I worked for 18 years in the Slough and Windsor Maidenhead schools from
Foundation through to KS3. Whilst teaching, I wrote my poetry, started a writing project and have run 'New Beginnings' poetry workshops in a secondary school and KS1 and
KS2 poetry workshop classes in primary schools. I have also delivered empowering poetry workshops, working with children in Cape Town South Africa, for the Amy
Biehl Foundation www.amybiehl.co.za through the charity www.uthandosa.org. At the
opening of the Isiseko Educare Centre in Mfuleni Cape Town, I had the privilege of reading one of my poems.
I have worked and completed poetry workshops with schools in Slough Libraries. There have also been some really fun drama, art filled poetry workshops at Slough
and Cippenham Library too. A while back I delivered a complimentary poetry workshop on empowerment for women from the charity www.meet&mingle.co.uk. KS3 'Transition' poetry
workshops was facillitated in Parmiters School, Nr Watford and KS3 Identity workshop at Forest Gate Community School, London E7.
In and around London I completed a number of workshops including a brillliant one in Hemel Hempstead. A number of returns to South Africa and Hout Bay, saw me
working and volunteering poetry workshops with Ikhaya Le Themba ' Home Of Hope' a non profit charity organisation www.ikhayalethemba.org.za/volunteers.
I have also I facilitated a wonderful session of workshops at Woodhill
Primary School, Woodhill, Greenwich, London. A lovely primary school, in Anguilla BWI, permitted me to share and discuss my poetry in an impromtu read aloud session.
