The Canadian Creek
Down the mountains as I rush and splash
Through snowy forests of bears playing and splashing
Tumbling down falls, through valleys free to flood.
Fish playing, jumping and zipping around
Changes happened
Bears left, fish died, cities replaced villages
Children pollute, not play.
Trees are cut down and block the meandering path I follow
Flood plains are exterminated
Levees are built...
Yr 6 Boy
This poem is fully of imagery and movement, as it journeys just like the river it depicts. You can almost reach into that tumbling waterfall and dive with those children into the
unpolluted river, in that tiny unspoilt village.

I Have a Dream.....
I have a dream,
But no ordinary dream.
Where everyone can live like one nation,
Which was how it was with our creation.
No fighting, rudeness or even brawling,
Or we will be on our knees and crawling.
In anger...
Y6 Girl
Because she has used rhyming couplets, this poem reads rather like a rap or even a song,. This gives it a cadence and a structure
that is still challenging in its own way. Why? Because she has endeavoured to use rhyme, but still keep the tone serious and thoughtful.

Me
When I play my music,
Notes wriggle around.
It pleases other people..

Somehing is wrong
The natural disaster.
Bringing fear and terror,
Throws everything around
Like a child with a tantrum
Leaving nothing place
in
Cars thrown about like tiny toys
Y5 Paul
A superb well delivered, insightful poem about a storm.
